*NEW*Baby Steps with Family-(Creative Movement): Ages 12 months- 1 ½ years: This course is an introductory course to develop a child’s creative spirit. The course will include beginning instruction of movement with a family member in the classroom.

Tiny Tot Combo Class-(Creative Movement): Ages Two -Three: This course is an introductory course to develop a child’s creative spirit. The course will include beginning instruction of ballet, jazz, acro and tap. Dress Code: Pink Leotard with attached skirt. Black tap shoes and pink ballet shoes are required. If you don’t have tap shoes, you can borrow some from the center.

*NEW*Combo Course-(Ballet/Jazz): Ages Four-Five: This course is an introductory course to develop a child’s creative spirit. The course will include beginning instruction of ballet and jazz. Dress Code: Pink Leotard with attached skirt. Pink ballet shoes are required. Must be Potty Trained.

*NEW*Combo Course-(Ballet/Tap): Ages Four–Five: This course is an introductory course to develop a child’s creative spirit. The course will include beginning instruction of ballet, and tap. Dress Code: Pink Leotard with attached skirt. Black tap shoes and pink ballet shoes are required. If you don’t have tap shoes, you can borrow some from the center. Must be Potty Trained. NEW*Combo Course-(Ballet/Acro/Hip Hop): Ages Four-Five: This course is an introductory course to develop a child’s creative spirit. The course will include beginning instruction of ballet and acro. Dress Code: Pink Leotard with attached skirt. Pink ballet shoes are required. Must be Potty Trained.

Ballet: For ages Six-adult. Levels: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. Ballet is the mother of dance which helps develop good alignment, posture, technique, balance, and control. It is the foundation of all dance styles. Our courses will cover principles a wide variety of principle techniques; Checchetti, Vaganova, and Balanchine Methods. Mandatory Dress Code: Pink or black tights and any color leotard, ballet skirts or shorts. Warm ups may be worn as weather permits-the teacher may ask for removal. Pink Canvas ballet shoes are required.

Pointe: Ages: Six-Adult. Levels: Beginning, Intermediate/ Advanced. Get on top of those toes! Student assessment is required prior to course instruction. Must be approved by owner and must take the ballet course. Must have balance up to 25 on one leg, ankles and feet must be strong. Must be approved by owner. Mandatory Dress Code: Pink or black tights and any color leotard, ballet skirt or shorts can be worn. Pointe Shoes are required and must be approved by owner.

Jazz: Ages: Six-Adult. Levels: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. Jazz consists of stylized movement emphasizing different rhythms and flexibility. The style was born in America with its basic roots from Africa. These courses will focus on great jazz innovators of jazz dance such as Luigi, Matt Mattox, Ron Lewis, Gus Giordano, and Phil Black Techniques. Dress Code: Any Color leotard, black jazz pants or black jazz shorts. Tan jazz shoes (Gores, split sole, or tie up) or bare feet are required for class, may be different for performance or competition team.

Tap: Ages: Six-Adult. Levels: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. A percussive and audible form of dance in which rhythms are created by striking the feet against the floor. It develops a strong sense of rhythm, coordination and agility. Class will focus on the differences of the classical tap to the grounded tap. Any color leotard, jazz pants, jazz shorts. Black Capezio Tel Tone, black lace Leo’s tap shoes are recommended. Beginners- black velcro, buckle tap shoes are fine. Shoes may be different for performance or competition team.

Technique: Ages Six-Adult. Levels: Beg./Intermediate/Advanced. This course also helps develop good alignment, posture, technique, balance, and control. This course is designed to extend the body to its fullest and develop good body placement for turns and leaps in order to build a stronger technical dancer.Acro: Ages Six-Adult. Levels: Beginning/Intermediate, Intermediate/Advanced. An athletic sport which requires agility, flexibility, and strength. The students will learn different tumbling techniques and passes. Dress Code: Tight fitting shorts or jazz pants, or tights and leotard and shorts, or unitard. Hair must be secured away from face. Bare feet.

Hip Hop/Breakdance/Step: Ages: Six-Adult. Levels: Beginning, Intermediate/ Advanced. A street form of jazz and a free-style form with the integration of R&B and pop music according to level and age appropriateness. It develops strength, balance, agility, rhythm, and flexibility. Dress code: Hip hop pants (comfortable easily movable), tank tops or t-shirts. Black Jazz sneakers, or sneakers required. No Street sneakers please! Please have separate sneakers for the dance room. Please change shoes, we do not want dirt from the outside on floors. Shoes may be different for performance or competition team.

*NEW*Contemporary/Modern/Lyrical Combo. Ages: Six-Adult. Levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Students will study three different forms of dance in the course Contemporary/Modern and Lyrical. Contemporary is which the emotion is introverted with modern elements. Students will understand the basic principles of modern dance such as time, space, and force. Students will explore movement of such choreographers as Graham, Limon, Horton, Dunham, Cunningham, Tharp, and Giordano techniques. Lyrical is a combination of ballet, jazz, and modern stressing balance, strength, and interpretation of emotion to the audience. Dress Code: Any color leotard, tights, with modern shorts, or modern crop pants. Bare Feet required. Shoes may be different for performance or competition team.

NEW*University Contemporary/Modern/Lyrical Combo: Students will study three different forms of dance in the course Contemporary/Modern and Lyrical. *NEW* Cheer Dance: Ages: Eight –Adult.Learn the fundamentals of cheer dance, jumps, and stunts. Dress Code: t-shirt, tank top and shorts and sneakers. Not street sneakers, please change shoes, we do not want dirt from the outside on floors. Shoes may be different for performance or competition team.

Choreography: For ages: Twelve-Adult. Students will learn the basic principles of choreographic forms; ABA Format, Narrative Format, Theme and Variation, AB Format, Rhondo, Suite, Collage. Improvisation and creativity are encouraged. Students will develop their own work and may perform their work at the end of the year performance. Dress Code: Any color leotard, jazz pants or modern crop pants or modern shorts and tights, bring paper and pencil. Bare feet or Jazz shoes required.

Musical Theatre (Dance, Acting and Voice): Ages Six-Adult. Levels: Beginning, Intermediate/Advanced. The students will explore various time periods and choreographers from Hollywood to Broadway--Agnes DeMille, Ann Reiking, Fosse, Susan Stroman, to name a few. This course is revised segment of the "Dance Through Time" Course which uses different vocal techniques and acting skills. Dress Code: Jazz pants, or tights with shorts and any color leotard. Beg.: Tan jazz shoes required. Int./Adv.: Men: Black Jazz Shoes. Women: Tan Jazz shoes or Tan character shoes may be used. Shoes may be different for performance or competition team.

Acting-Tools of the Trade, Resume Writing, Auditioning, Directing, Performance Enhancement, Script Writing, and Confidence Builder, Ages: Six-Adult. Dress Code: Comfortable clothing for movement. This course is divided into four sections:

NEW- CREATIVE DRAMA: Ages 6- 9. (simply due to developmental levels for understanding concepts, reading, writing) Exploring the creative process through drama games while developing focus and ensemble skills. Students will take part in year-end performance.

NEW- INTRODUCTION TO ACTING: Ages:10 and up (simply due to developmental levels for understanding concepts, reading, writing) Through improvisation, script, and collaborative theatre exercises, students will enhance acting and performance skills as well as become exposed to appropriate theatre practices both on and off stage. Coaching on specific monologues and professional theatre preparation. Students will take part in year-end performance (Prerequisite-Creative Dramatics or Educators Permission)

NEW- DEVELOPMENTAL ACTING: Ages:13 and up. Through improvisational work as well as diverse professional scripts, students will build on a solid foundation to expand imagination, character development , scene analysis, and understanding of the professional world of theatre from a variety of perspectives including writing, direction, design, and critique. Topics relating to commercial acting, casting calls, and other "tools of the trade" also be covered. Students will take part in year-end performance. Prerequisite- Creative Dramatics and Introduction to Acting or Educators Permission). Independent work, private coaching on specific monologues and resume for audition and professional theatre preparation.

NEW- PLAYWRIGHT/DRAMA: Ages: Eight and Up. Students will work both collaboratively and independently to develop a script based around a theme for the annual PAC Spring Production. Emphasis will be placed on working creatively and inclusively to integrate the many elements of the performing arts experience, and understand how to communicate a worthwhile, entertaining, and unified message to audiences. These students will be the PLAYWRIGHTS of the 2011 ZPAC performance. This course will also cover monologues and scripts in professional theatre preparation.

NEW-Boys Course: Ages 6 and up. Enjoy learning how to affectivity sharpen your coordination and memory skills. This course will focus on becoming stronger, more flexible and agile. This course will be divided into sections of Hip Hop, Breakdance and Tap. Sneakers and Tap Shoes are required. Not street sneakers, please change shoes, we do not want dirt from the outside on floors

ZPAC Company: Intermediate/Advanced (Ages Eight and up). This company is separate from the competition team. Levels can also be determined by student abilities regardless of age. This course creates a dance company with well rounded dancers, actors and singers who want to perform throughout the entire year. The students have to be dedicated and have a positive attitude. Students must take either of the following: an acting, dance technique, or a vocal course. This is a great way to learn about the professional dance and theater world. The company members will be able to perform at Weddings, Dance Parties, Music Is Art Festival with the Goo Goo Dolls, Elmwood Art Festival, Darien Lake, and the Erie County Fair. The students have the chance to win awards, get hours for community service for high school and cash prizes. JOIN NOW! PLEASE SPECIFY ON YOUR REGISTRATION FORM IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE A PART OF THE COMPANY AND TRAVEL.

ZPAC Competition Team (Audition Only): This is separate from the Company. Competitions are usually during the spring and summer months. The students have to be dedicated and have a positive attitude, they must abide by the Competition Team’s and Center’s rules and policies. You must sign a contract to abide by certain rules and regulations in order to be a part of the team.

NEW-Mini Team Age 6-9 (Hip Hop, Tap, Acro, and Jazz, Voice and Dance Solos/Duets),

NEW- Junior (JR) Team Age 10-14 ( Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theatre,

NEW-Senior (SR) Team Age 15-26. (Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Musical Theatre, Acro, Voice and Dance Solos Duets) If a student is at a higher level of technique and performance then they will not be held back by the age of the team, must be approved by owner and auditioned. You must take a regular ballet course and the technique course, unless discussed with the owner. Shoes may be different for performance or competition team.

*NEW*Cardio Mix/Pilates/Latin Fusion (like Zumba): Ages: Teen -Adult This course will be done two sections in 6 weeks intervals. September 17- October 22 and then again, February 25-April 1st. We will focus on Pilates and core strengthening, we will also combine a cardio-dance mix with dance and aerobics. We will also focus on pilates and yoga. Dress Code: Comfortable clothing socks, bare feet or comfortable shoes.

*NEW*Adult Dance With the Stars/Dance Through Time/Couple Dances Ages: Teen -Adult This course will be done in 6 weeks. January 14 –February 18th. Come and learn ballroom dances with a partner. This course will focus from the early Baroque of the 18th century to the Cakewalk and the 40’s Swing to the present. We will reminisce "those were the days!" You will learn the Charleston, Swing, Jitterbug, Waltz, Polka, Rumba, Foxtrot, Salsa, Meringue, Cha Cha, Tango, to name a few. This course is geared toward partnering skills. It gives a student a chance to understand how to lift, and to learn different techniques of how to lead and follow.

Voice: Ages: Six-Adult. (By appointment only). Learn how to sing from classical to Broadway style, with microphone techniques, vocal techniques and vocal sculpting. No Dress Code. Dress for performance or competition may be different.

ZPAC PARTY ENTERTAINERS: Dancers/Singers (By appointment/bookings): The company student dancers, actors and singers make your Mother/Daughter banquet, Anniversary Party, or Wedding Day extremely memorable! Our own Intermediate/Advanced Company or Center’s members dance at your wedding ceremony or reception! After dinner they will help get people off their seats and dancing on the dance floor! We are a reliable group of dancers/singers with great attitudes, professionalism, poise and class! Call Today for Bookings!

Couple Dances for weddings and parties-You can also come and learn the most important dance of your life, your wedding dance, or for a Mother /Daughter dance! This course is geared toward partnering skills. It gives a student a chance to understand how to lift, and to learn different techniques of how to lead and follow. No Dress Code.

Dance Parties: (By appointment/bookings) Weekends Only: For any age. Any one is welcome to have a dance party for their Birthday 1-100, Sweet Sixteen Party or any occasion! You supply the decor, and we supply the food and drink, the venue, the entertainment and the clean up! Every child leaves home with a special gift bag of goodies! Call Today for bookings!
